The perfect drink to get you in the fall spirit
Fall is right around the corner, and what better way to get in the spirit than a fall-inspired apple pie martini? I recently came across the new Bailey’s Apple Pie liqueur, and I knew I had to try it.
There was only one problem–this is brand new, and there were zero recipes to try. This led to an evening of test tasting with my sisters. After much trial and error, this was hands down the best.
Ingredients
- 1.5 oz Bailey’s Apple Pie Liqueur
- 1.5 oz caramel vodka
- 4.5 oz apple cider
- Sprinkle of cinnamon
- Caramel sauce
- Apple slice for garnish
- Cinnamon sticks for garnish
- Graham cracker, crushed for garnish
Serving Size: 1
First, you need to prep the martini glass. You’ll want to rim the martini glass with the crushed graham crackers. You can use either simple syrup or lemon juice to get it to stick to the rim. Once complete, drizzle the caramel syrup in the glass.
Next, you’re ready to add your ingredients to the cocktail shaker! Fill the shaker with ice, and then add the apple cider, Bailey’s, caramel vodka, and cinnamon. Shake well.
Finally, pour into the prepared glass, and top with apple slice and cinnamon stick if desired to complete your apple pie martini.
Helpful Tips
If you’re in the market for a cocktail shaker, I recommend this one from Amazon. It doesn’t leak, and the lid doesn’t get stuck like others I have used.
You do not need to go crazy with the cinnamon–a pinch goes further than you think. The addition just gives the drink a little something extra without being overpowering.
And lastly, do not try to substitute the caramel vodka with vanilla–I’ve tried it, and it simply didn’t mix as well.
