    5 Must-Reads This Summer

    Since it's now officially summer (and also since many of us are still social distancing), I felt it was time to pull together a list of must-reads. These are some of my FAVORITES of all-time--not just new releases. The hidden benefit, besides being absolute gems? Many are way cheaper than they would have been 5 years ago.

    A breakfast bowl is one of my favorite things to make for dinner for two simple reasons: it tastes delicious, and it’s QUICK to make! And yes, you read correctly: dinner. Servings: 2 Total Time: 40 minutes Ingredients: 4 eggs 2 cups red potatoes (chopped) 2 tablespoons oil (divided) 1 medium onion 1 green pepper 1 cup roma tomatoes (diced) Avocado (optional) Chives (optional) Bacon (optional) Directions: Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Next, line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Toss potatoes with 1 tablespoon oil, salt, pepper, and spread evenly on pan.     Nespresso Essenza Mini Review

    One of my favorite things to do pre COVID-19 was to wake up early, walk to a local coffee shop, and order one of their specialty lattes. One of my favorites ended up being a lavender latte, and I highly recommend it if you like vanilla lattes! It's not too sweet, but it's a little something special if you're trying to switch it up.

    The Easiest Lemon Drop Martini

    With summer right around the corner, you’ll likely be looking for a delicious, refreshing, and easy drink to make. Enter: the lemon drop martini. All you need are 3 ingredients and a cocktail shaker–I recommend this one if you are in the market for an affordable shaker. In the spirit of brevity, I’ll get right to the recipe, but if you’re looking for some tips, they’ll be below.   Ingredients: 1/2 lemon ( ~ 1.5 tablespoons lemon juice) 0.75 oz simple syrup 3 oz vodka sugar for the rim Directions: Juice the lemon into a cocktail shaker—I typically eyeball this, but it ends up being about 1.5 tablespoons.
